Dirtwork Digital
Websites for dirt-work companies

Your work already looks impressive. Your website should too.

So the builder who finds you at 9 p.m. calls you, not the next guy. Websites, lead follow-up, and Google Ads for excavation, land-clearing, and demolition companies.

Real crews, real numbers, and owners you can call. Chris has built and manages more than 40 websites in the trades. The three most recent dirt-work builds are below.

The problem

The site is the only part of your outfit that looks like it did ten years ago.

Your trucks are washed. Your machines are named. Your Google reviews say the crew shows up. Then a builder opens your website on a phone, waits, and calls the next result.

Shepard Excavating had that site. On a phone it took about 17 seconds to show its main image, and there was nothing above the fold to tap. Drag the handle: the left side is the old site captured in May, the right side is the new one. The phone number is the first thing you see.

The website first. The rest stacks on when you need it.

Buy only what you need. Every price is on the pricing page, and every recurring service is month to month.

Lead Follow-Up

$297per month, Core$497 per month for Managed

The phone rings while you are on the machine. Now it gets answered: a text back in under a minute, every form in one pipeline, quotes followed up, reviews asked for.

We don't sell leads. Here's what this does.

Google Ads

from$350per monthYou pay Google directly, in your own account

I build and run the campaigns. You pay Google directly. The account is yours. Third product on purpose: it only makes sense once the site and the phone are ready.

When ads make sense, and when they don't
How it goes

Four steps. You approve the homepage before the balance is due.

Most sites launch within a few weeks of receiving your photos. I take on a limited number of builds each month so each one gets my attention.

  1. Step 1

    I review what you have

A short screen walkthrough of your current site: the three things costing you calls, in plain English.

  2. Step 2

You send photos and answer a short list

Your equipment, crew, and finished work. Your towns and services. That is most of the work on your side.

  3. Step 3

    You approve the homepage

You see the direction before the whole site is built, and before the balance is due.

  4. Step 4

    I finish, test, and launch

Redirects from the old site, tracking, spam protection, and mobile speed measured before launch.

Your photos are better than anyone's. Most sites throw them away.

Straight answers

What I promise, and what I don't.

This trade is full of "30 leads in 30 days or we work free." I don't make that promise, and I will tell you why on the phone.

What I promise
  • You see your homepage before you pay the balance.
  • You own the finished site. Care is month to month, and the transfer path is in writing.
  • No surprise add-ons. Extra pages are $250 each and you approve them first.
  • The build is paid in two steps: 50% to schedule it, then 50% after you approve the homepage direction and before launch.
  • On ads, you pay Google directly, the account is yours, and the fee is flat.
What I don't
  • I don't promise rankings.
  • I don't promise a number of leads or a cost per call.
  • I don't sell shared leads. I improve how your own calls and inquiries are captured and followed up.

Every result on this site carries a date and a source, so you can judge it yourself.

Who you are dealing with

I'm Chris. I build websites for people who move dirt.

One person, in Cass Lake, Minnesota. I build the site, write the copy, set up the tracking, and answer the phone afterward.

More than 40 websites for trade businesses are built and managed on this stack. The most recent dirt-work ones: a septic and excavating outfit in Laporte, a demolition contractor in Cape Coral, and a gravel and site-work company down the road from me. Two more redesigns are in the queue. You can call any of the owners.

Shepard Excavating, Laporte MN
Why pay $2,497 when someone will build a site for $49 a month?

A low monthly template can be a reasonable fit when you only need a basic online presence. This build is for a company that wants its own equipment, crew, services, and finished work represented clearly. You approve the homepage direction before the balance is due, and you own the finished site.

Do you guarantee leads or rankings?

No. Anyone who does is guessing. I promise the process: you see the homepage first, you own the site, care is month to month, and there are no surprise add-ons. Results get published with dates so you can judge them yourself.

What happens if I stop paying for Website Care?

The site comes with you. Care is month to month, and the transfer path is written into the agreement. I stop hosting, fixing, and editing it. Nothing is held hostage.

Is Lead Follow-Up just more marketing automation?

It texts your customer once, from your number, with your name, when you miss a call. Then a person takes over. It also puts every form in one place and asks every customer for a review the same way.

Who pays for the Google Ads?

You do, directly to Google, in your own account. I charge a flat management fee from $350 a month and never finance media.

How long does a website take?

Most sites launch within a few weeks of receiving your photos and answers. I take on a limited number of builds each month so each one gets my attention.
